The Legendary Mt. Baker Banked Slalom (Feburary)

Mt. Baker annually hosts a snowboard race that occurs within a natural half-pipe within the ski area. Local amatures and the pros battle it out for the grand prize: a roll of duct tape.


The Golden Egg Hunt (March/April)

Easter brings warm sunny spring snowriding and the traditional Mt. Baker Golden Egg Hunt where plastic eggs are hidden all over the mountain; many contain prizes but some contain clues to the location of the one golden egg which contains...a season pass.


Ski to Sea (May)

Starting at the Mt. Baker Ski area and ending at the Marine Park on the other side of Bellingham Bay this 7 sport, 7 stage relay race covers 85 miles and ends in a parade and street fair. Cross-country skiing, downhill skiing/snowboarding, running, road biking, canoeing, mountain biking, and sea kayaking are all involved in this unique event that truly represents northwest outdoor sports.


Mt. Baker Blues Festival (July/August)

The Deming LogShow Grounds host this event that's now in its 10th year; voted the best blues festival in the state of Washington.


Festival 542 (September)

"There are 3 races that make up this event: A cyclocross race at Silver Lake, an 8.5 mile trail run with 3,500 ft of total climbing, and finally a 24.5 mile 4,300 ft bike race from Glacier to the ski area. Food and music in Glacier is also part of this event."
